Dip the toothbrush into the soapy water, use this to scrub the INSIDE of your shoes only. Most canvas shoes have a leather or faux leather interior, this is where you’re most likely to have shoe grime build up. Clear away any dirt or stains on the leather part of the inside of your shoes with the toothbrush and soapy water. Don’t forget to scrub the tops of the insides of your shoes! If your shoes are peep toe shoes, it helps to insert the toothbrush through the peep toe hole to get to the front of the shoe.

Use a damp paper towel to wipe away any soap residue from the inside of your shoes.

Step 3:

Spray a small amount of Spot Shot (or other carpet/fabric cleaner) onto your washcloth. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to wear rubber gloves. Do not spray the cleaner directly onto your shoes! The chemicals in the cleaner may be too harsh and can damage your shoes. Before applying the washcloth to your shoes, test a small area of the canvas to make sure there will be no color damage (the best place to test is on the inside sidewall of your shoes). But as long.
