This isn’t really a twin question, more just drawing a blank. One of my girls stands on her own and walks around holding on to things. I have never put shoes on either twin, but I was thinking maybe it is time. When my son was a baby I took him to Stride Rite and got his feet fitted in shoes (the widest ones they had). There is no longer a stride rite in our area, so I don’t even know where to start looking for baby shoes! I had a pair of hand me down Nikes that I put on her, but she HATED them they were bulky. Her feet are wide and chunky (seriously, my son teases that her feet look like they were stepped on and swollen).

I was thinking that shoes would be good since we can finally go outdoors some and it might help her balance. Does anyone have suggestions for shoes at this age? I was thinking even little sandals might work since the width is more adjustable, but we live in MI, so it is still pretty chilly!

Thanks! I was over thinking it!! I won’t worry for now. I have seen the Robeez, so will maybe try them. She wants to walk so badly, but doesn’t have balance down just yet. I think the robeez will be good to protect her little feet.

I worry most about when they are on the deck I don’t want her to slide her feet in her socks and possibly get a splinter. The deck is well maintained, but you never know! Last week my son scooted himself across a wood bench and ended up with a splinter on his backside, which is what made me think about it LOL. The things we do as moms! Pulling a splinter out of someone’s butt cheek is on the list of things I never dreamed I would have to do.
