also, I blistering more on my toes 🙁 I hear moleskin, better socks, and bodyglide, all of which I just ordered, are supposed to help. I can emphasize that enough. They can be a great asset once you built up all those supporting muscles but you can easily injure yourself if you switch too quick. But it makes because if you switch straight to running completely barefoot there just no way you gonna go out and do an 8 miler right away. I haven attempted running barefoot but I been trying to switch to minimalist shoes. I ran just two miles on a treadmill after about two weeks of running less than a mile and I literally could not walk up or down stairs the next day. It felt fine while I was running. But I bet if I had been running outside with no shoes, the soles of my feet would have told me "enough enough!"Yes, running on the balls of your feet is the way your body is designed to run.
