How do you control your breathing while you are running? A lot of this depends on what you are training for. So for example if you are training for the 100 meter spring when you are trying to run from point A to point B as fast as you possibly can you are going to have more of a fast paced rhythmic breathing as you are running at full speed for 100 meters, however if you are training for a marathon or if you are running a marathon distance which is 26.2 miles then you are going to have more of a slower, more controlled breathing pattern and it depends on how you breathe also. Some runners breathe through their nose, out of their mouth as they are running, while they are running. Whereas for a sprinter they are going so fast as fast as they possibly can for 100 meters so the breathing pattern for a 100 meter sprinter compared to a distance runner is radically different. So it all depends on what you are training for, what distance you are training for and also how fast you are pacing yourself during the run. Whether it is 400 meters, a 10k race, a half marathon race or a marathon race so breathing and learning how to control your breathing is essential for you becoming successful in whatever distance you are training for.
