The man who stuffed ham in Muslim shoes and draped raw pork outside a mosque has been set free from jail. After pleading guilty to racially or religiously aggravated harassment last month, Jamie Knowlson, 30, was sentenced to 150 hours of community service, and set free.

Knowlson was allowed to walk with a six month suspended sentence instead of the maximum of two years in jail. Admittedly drunk, the man stuffed ham in Muslim shoes while they were worshiping inside the Al Baseera mosque in Bristol, England. Even though it is a true incident, it sounds like a bad scene from a comic movie.

However, this is no joke to the Muslim who were Knowlson victims. The mosque Inman said, don eat pork and we are banned by our faith from eating it, as it makes us impure when we are going to our prayers. defendant attorney, Ian Halliday, stated, was a brutal, misconceived, drunken prank. He returned to the mosque and offered his apologies in person. True, the man did return and that was when he was arrested.

While some may think that is a simple prank to put ham in Muslim shoes, it is about as funny as someone walking nude through a Baptist Church and spilling beer all over the place. If any country is to have freedom of religion, it must mean all religions or none.
