锘?No Parking" signs have been posted on Arsenal Road, which is off Cameron Street. In the past, people would park along Arsenal Road because it’s free and they would walk to the Farm Show. Harrisburg and Susquehanna Township police posted the signs and people who ignore them could face fines or have their cars towed. This year, anyone who parks in the HACC lot must exit by turning right on Industrial Road. That will take drivers about 5 miles until they can either get on Routes 22/322 or Route 39 to Front Street.
The exit of the Elmerton Avenue parking lot is changing. Drivers must turn right onto Elmerton and take it to the Progress Avenue exit. State police and PennDOT are doing this to make sure people who are leaving the Farm Show drive away from it, allowing more room for incoming traffic. Temporary road signs and electronic signs will inform drivers how to exit the lots.
Also new this year, 500 parking spaces will be available for visitors in the Farm Show complex parking lot on the northwest side. Access is from the HACC side of the complex.
Parking in all lots is $10 per vehicle.
Free shuttles will run every 15 to 30 minutes from each parking lot and visitors are encouraged to wait for the shuttle to take them to the Farm Show and to not walk. There will be a heated tent in front of the lobby where people can wait for the shuttles.
There is ongoing construction on the George Wade Bridge. State police do not know how this will affect Farm Show traffic.
PennDOT officials recommend people check 511 before they leave. Also, PennDOT’s highway advisory radio station, 1670 AM, will be updated with Farm Show traffic information.
