A maxi dress is a great dress to wear for the Summer, easy, breezy, comfortable but you can also dress it up and dress it down. A way to dress it down or more casual is to wear it with something like a Fedora, a straw hat, something easy that you can put on it will give you a little sun protection and you can wear it in the mall, at lunch or even when you are touring Europe. When you want to accessorize, wearing something, just a nice little piece of jewelry, something with a little metal or something with a little texture to kind of offset the other textures and patterns in the dress. We’ve used this necklace here to kind of mix those all together and then most importantly a nice comfortable shoe, something flat, it doesn’t need to be a heel, something that you can walk in and just feel great and easy in. Something that definitely has some breathability. The other way you can dress up a maxi dress is for a date look something where you’re really going to use a lot of statement accessories, so bright shiny metals or shiny gems that really kind of pop. So here we’ve used a statement necklace with a lot of shiny silver. We have a nice necklace and then the statement belt as well. Together they make a nice pretty ensemble but you can’t forget the most important, the shoes and here you can go with a nice heeled strappy platform shoe to kind of pull the look together and have a fabulous night on the town.
