Having noticed his pet’s stability on the ice, he started examining the forms of his spaniel’s paws using them as model for his first prototype.
What he did in fact was reproduce multi directional, wavy slits similar to a herringbone pattern by using a razor blade on the rubber sole of a standard shoe. From then on history was made within the shoe industry.
